Anker Premium Stereo Bluetooth 4.0 Speaker Review

Anker Premium Stereo Bluetooth 4.0 Speaker 1

I have reviewed the Anker SoundCore XL and I am pretty happy with its rugged design. They actually are having so many Bluetooth speaker beside than the SoundCore. Anker Premium Stereo is one of their latest portable audio gadget that promising a great premium stereo quality to music entertainment. It is able to deliver an immersive sounds quality without too many distortion. Anker has been one of my favorite’s brands for audio equipment. I decided to put this one into of list because the product itself is so interested to see. I see the premium word on their title and asking is it the word premium is suitable for this one? We find it soon on our review.

A Great portable Bluetooth Speaker Stereo

You would notice that they put the stereo word on their every marketing, but is it that worth? Well, the answer is yes. The Anker is capable of delivering the immersive sound with clear and crisp images. You could easily play any genre music without having so much adjustment on it. The volume level for me is great because it still maintains its power and quality even at the highest volume. The overall sound is great and the connectivity range is capable on streaming any music without any audio cut off. The stereo sound that they always advertise is true, but don’t put too many emphases on it because sometimes I am getting some spatial cues when I am too close with the speaker. You don’t notice it easily unless you close enough. I guess this is not a big problem unless you need to listen it closely all the time.

The design that they are provided is the very minimalist. I didn’t say it bad, but there is not much anything that you can expect from the design. They do this with some considerations. They really need to maintain the sounds quality without raising the price, so they need to sacrifice few things. For this case, they choose to sacrifice the design to keep their sound quality. Still, the speaker is still looks good and doesn’t appear to be looks cheap. I am so surprised that they didn’t put matte plastic like what they did to the SoundCore. They add glossy plastic as the main material and it feels so much better when we are holding it. I prefer to have great sound rather than sacrificing the sound performance.

In term of looks, it might not too appeal so well, but they actually making a great improvement on the buttons placement. The range between one buttons to another is pretty great. It is easy to reach and you will never tap unintentionally. They place the power button, volume button, and play button nicely on the top and it also covered with bubble plastic. This thing is pretty popular back on the old days and I really love the retro finishing on it.

Bluetooth Range And Battery Life

The Bluetooth speaker has Bluetooth 4.0 version pack on the inside with the maximum range of 33 feet. The range is pretty standard, but more than enough for doing any party on beach or pool. The pairing process is also simple and it would be instantly reconnect with your smartphone. I find it so useful because sometimes it is pretty tough to reach it on the pool. They also put an indicator light that shows the battery and it would be blinking when its connected.

The batter life is pretty minimal and you probably need an extra power bank for it. On my test, I see that the battery is only last for 8 hours on the highest volume. You probably get extra few hours if you reduce the volume. This is needed to be considered because it could be the biggest problem for you to always carry around the power bank. It’s made for outdoor activity, but for really serious activity such as camping or hiking. Well, it still good for only party at the beach or pool.

Solid and powerful bass. Decent battery life.
Impressive volume powered. The mids sounds are not too great.
Bluetooth 4.0 -

There is so much difference if we compare Anker Premium with the SoundCore. If you need a true outdoor audio gadget then you can pick the SoundCore, but if you only need a speaker for home purposes then everything is perfect for this one. The bass is powerful and great for bigger room and partying. The battery life is the worst part, but since you are at home you just need to plug it to your power source. You probably have to take look at it closely to make sure if it’s good or not. At last, please make any comment if you have any question.
